  1. “Can singing Schubert be a competitive sport?” In a Monty Python sketch, I think so. My art song teacher has a permanent sign on her studio door; it was the famous “Never teach a pig to sign. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.” Inside, there was another: “Competitions are for horses.”
